RunDisney Packing List
RunDisney hosts races several times a year and in several locations. In addition to the four race weekends offered in Orlando, FL at Walt Disney World, you can participate in runDisney races in Anaheim, CA at Disneyland, in Paris at Disneyland Paris, and in several Virtual Races throughout the year.
I've been run/walking in local 5ks/10ks around my hometown for years. But I always had a dream to run in Disney, and in 2017 I made that dream come true by running in the Princess 5K race with my brother and our experience did not disappoint!
I'm happy to say I have progressed to conquering several other RunDisney races over the years, including my first 1/2 marathon in 2024. At each race, I had family there to cheer me on, including my bestie, Melissa.
In 2025 I will pack my bags and head to Disney again for the RunDisney Springtime Surprise race weekend for the 10k. After 8 years of heading to Disney for races, I do know a thing or two about what you should pack for a weekend.
The most exciting thing you'll pack? Your running costume, of course! I have run as Tinkerbell, Jessie from Toy Story, Vanellope Von Schweetz from Wreck it Ralph, Luisa from Encanto and my favorite Princess Tiana in my 1/2 marathon.
So What Do You Have to Pack for a runDisney Race?
This packing list to help first-timers (and to remind seasoned runDisney participants) of items that are helpful to have with you during a race weekend.
Although you can visit the RunDisney Expo while you are there and pick up some of the items on my list, I like to spend my time in the parks and not in long lines shopping. Trust me, I can write a whole other blog post on that subject! Let me just say, pack your patience if you visit the Expo.
runDisney Essentials
- Running Shoes (train in several pairs to see which ones will work best on race day)
- Compression Socks

I hope you find my list of runDisney packing "must-haves" helpful.
Do you need everything on my list? Probably not. But at least pack patience, confidence, and a BFF to share the experience with! Oh, and don't forget a pair of good running shoes. Because you know, a good pair of shoes can change a girl's life!
